Make a Happy List
Taking time to savor the moment and acknowledge life’s joys will enhance your happiness! A simple exercise to give yourself a boost is to make a Happy List. On your phone, in your journal, or in your mind, start paying attention to the things that make you happy. Think about all of your senses. What are smells that you love? Are there textures that make you smile? Remember special people, places, and memories. Write them down! Push yourself to grow your list by being present and mindful of where you are and what you’re doing. The process of creating a Happy List will help you focus on the positive and will train your brain to seek out the good. Pull the list out when you need a little happy boost!
